Day 1: Bangkok Arrival
Our guides will retrieve you from the airport and transfer you to your hotel to rest up in Bangkok before our journey the next day.
Day 2: Bangkok – Rayong 50km+ cycling (L)
In the morning, your guide will provide a detailed briefing on the tour and align your bike to your preferences. Afterward, you’ll have a quick transfer to Pattaya, where you’ll cycle along the coastline for about 50 km until it’s time to stop for lunch. In the late afternoon, we’ll arrive in Rayong and enjoy dinner at a local restaurant. You’ll stay overnight in Rayong at a beach hotel.
Day 3: Rayong – Chantaburi 60km+ cycling (B, L)
We’ll begin the third day with breakfast at the hotel. Then, we’ll bike about 60 km to a mangrove study center, one of the most successful forest restoration projects in Thailand. On the way, we’ll stop and visit some local people so that you may talk with them and gain a better understanding of their way of life. We’ll enjoy dinner and spend the night in Chantaburi.
Day 4: Chantaburi – Pailin 47km+ cycling (B, L) (Cross border to Cambodia)
We’ll start the day with breakfast at the hotel, then transfer to Pongnamron and start cycling to the Cambodian border (about 27 km). After going through immigration, we’ll have lunch at a local restaurant. Later, we’ll cycle about 20 km to Pailin, a city located at the foothills of the scenic Cardamom Mountains. We’ll stay overnight in Pailin.
Day 5: Pailin – Battambang 85km cycling (B, L)
After breakfast at the hotel, you’ll receive a quick briefing on road conditions and water stops. The path between Pailin and Battambang follows the Cardamom mountain range. As a result, this rural path has a few climbs and downhill moments. There may be potholes or farm animals in the road, but the scenery makes up for such inconveniences. We’ll stay overnight in Battambang.
Day 6: Battambang – Siem Reap 18km cycling (B, L)
We’ll enjoy an early breakfast before cycling for 15 minutes to board the boat to Siem Reap. One of the best boat trips in Cambodia, this crossing of the Sangker River allows for great people and bird watching. After crossing, we’ll arrive at the Chong Kneas floating village. We’ll explore the village and cycle 15 km to our hotel in Siem Reap, where we’ll stay overnight.
Day 7: Siem Reap – Angkor Complex 25km cycling (B, L)
In the morning, we’ll depart from the hotel as a group. We’ll take the small circuit and cycle to the Angkor Wat complex. On the way, you’ll see the Ta Keo temple, Chao Say Tevoda, and Tommanon. Once we’ve reached Angkor Thom city, you’ll have some time to visit the Terrace of the Leper King, the Terrace of the Elephant, Baphoun, Phimean Akas, and Bayon temple. We’ll stay overnight in Siem Reap.
Day 8: Banteay Srei and River of Thousand Lingas 90km cycling (B, L)
Our eighth day will begin with a trip to Banteay Srei. We’ll take rural paths and enjoy views of rice fields and villages in the countryside along the way. Then, we’ll continue cycling toward Kbal Spean, the River of Thousands Lingas. We’ll take some time to visit the Lingas and enjoy lunch at the waterfall. On the way back, we’ll visit a Landmine Museum, which raises donated funds to continue clearing the Cambodian countryside of landmines. We’ll stay overnight in Siem Reap again.
Day 9: Siem Reap – Phnom Penh 18km cycling (B, L)
After breakfast at the hotel, we’ll board a six-hour speedboat to Phnom Penh. Upon arrival, we’ll take some time to visit the Royal Palace, Silver Pagoda, and National Museum. We’ll stay overnight in Phnom Penh.
Day 10: Phnom Penh 35km+ cycling (B, L)
In the morning, we’ll enjoy breakfast at the hotel and then hit the road, where you’ll be guided through the bustling city of Phnom Penh to explore the main sights by bike. We’ll see Wat Phnom and the Cheung Ek killing field before having lunch. In the afternoon, we’ll visit the Independence Monument, Tuol Sleng Museum, and the Russian Market. We’ll stay overnight in Phnom Penh again.
Day 11: Phnom Penh – Takeo 67km cycling (B, L)
After breakfast, we’ll have a quick transfer out of the city. Then, we’ll begin to cycle toward Ta Phrom and Yeary Pov temples. We’ll take a break for water and snacks before heading to Phnom Chisor to visit the hilltop 11th-century temple, where we’ll enjoy a packed lunch as we overlook the scenic countryside. In the afternoon, we’ll board a sunset boat to Phnom Da to visit the former capital of the Khmer Empire. We’ll stay overnight at Mittapheap Guesthouse.
Day 12: Takeo – Chau Doc 78km cycling (B, L, D) (Cross border to Vietnam)
After an early breakfast, we’ll cycle 53 km to the Tinh Bien border-crossing point. Once the group has passed immigration, we’ll begin cycling toward Chau Doc. The path is rural and scenic. Along the way, you’ll see rice fields and water buffalos near the road. We will arrive in Chau Doc around sunset; those with energy to spare can climb Sam Mountain for a remarkable view. We’ll enjoy dinner and stay overnight in Chau Doc.
Day 13: Chau Doc – Long Xuyen 50km cycling (B, L)
After breakfast, we’ll either start cycling along the country roads between Chau Doc and Bachuc or re-trace back to Triton (depending on road conditions). The road is quite hilly as you ride out of Chau Doc, but the path is unique. The presence of Thot Not trees indicates proximity to Cambodia, and the local people speak Vietnamese as their second language. Finally, we’ll cycle to Long Xuyen to stay overnight.
Day 14: Long Xuyen – Can Tho 90km+ cycling (B, L)
After breakfast, the day will begin with a short transfer and cycling trip to the main road. We’ll have some time to explore and have lunch. In the afternoon, we’ll take a narrow but exciting route to Phong Dien. The route weaves through the bustling afternoon market along the riverbank. You’ll absorb the sights of endless cottage industries, timber merchants, coconut shredders, small docks loading/unloading rice, and tiny vibrant markets. We’ll transfer the rest of the way to Can Tho for our overnight stay.
Day 15: Can Tho – Tra Vinh 80km+ cycling (B, L)
After breakfast, you’ll have some time to explore Can Tho. Then, we’ll take a short ferry trip to Tra On, one of the famous fruit towns in the Mekong. There, we will bike along narrow country lanes, easy dirt tracks, and trails. The path we’ll take is lovely; you’ll cycle through tiny orchards, witness colorful life along the riverside, pedal past quaint delta homes, and pause to chat with welcoming villagers. Eventually, we’ll reach the picturesque Khmer town of Tra Vinh, where we’ll stay overnight.
Day 16: Tra Vinh – My Tho – Ho Chi Minh 50km+ cycling (B, L)
After breakfast, we’ll start the day with a ride through the pretty tree-lined town of Tra Vinh. We’ll off-road onto gravel and dirt lanes, weaving around villages, across water channels, and through quiet, dense vegetation. The ride will lead us right into the heart of the rural Mekong before arriving at My Tho to end our cycling trip. From My Tho, we’ll transfer to Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 17: Departure Ho Chi Minh City (B)
We’ll enjoy breakfast at the hotel in the morning. Afterward, you are free to explore the city until it is time for your outgoing flight. Your guide will organize your transfer to the airport and assist with any other departure details.
