Day 1: Angkor Circuit – 25+ km (L)
In the morning, we’ll depart from the hotel as a group. We’ll take the main road and cycle to the Angkor Wat complex, where you will first see Kravan Wat and Banteay Kdei. Then, we’ll enjoy lunch at the foot of the famous Ta Prohm, which is embraced by the roots of enormous fig trees and overgrown vegetation.
Day 2: Rolous Group & Tonle Sap Lake – 50+ km (B, L, D)
Our second day will begin with a trip to the Rolous Group, the first capital of the Angkor Empire during the 9th century. We’ll follow rural paths, passing through rice fields and villages in the countryside along the way. Afterward, we’ll visit some pre-Angkorian temples, including Preah Ko, Bakong, and Lolei. In the afternoon, we’ll cycle to Tonle Sap Lake and take time to explore the area.
Day 3: Banteay Srei & Landmine Museum – 70 km (B, L)
After breakfast at the hotel, we’ll take the main road and cycle west for about 2 km to Angkor Wat. We’ll then follow a rural road through rice fields, villages, and pagodas on our way to Banteay Srei. While some temples are impressive because of their sheer size, Banteay Srei stands out for the quality of its construction and decoration. Its pink sandstone walls feature what are considered some of the best-preserved carvings in Cambodia. We’ll take time to admire the temple and enjoy a picnic lunch on site.
