Day 1: Angkor Circuit – 25+ km (L)
In the morning, we’ll depart from the hotel as a group, cycling through the Angkor pass checkpoint. This route is pleasant and relaxing, with shady, well-maintained roads.
Upon entering the Angkor Wat complex, you’ll first see Kravan Wat, followed by Banteay Kdei and the famous Ta Prohm, embraced by the roots of enormous fig trees and overgrown vegetation. Archaeologists intentionally left the vegetation at Ta Prohm intact to reflect how the original discoverers found it and other Angkor temples. We’ll spend about 45 minutes to 1 hour at Ta Prohm so you can fully appreciate its history and atmosphere.
Day 2: Rolous Group & Tonle Sap – 50+ km (B, L)
Our second day will begin with a trip to the Rolous Group, the first capital of the Angkor Empire in the 9th century. We’ll cycle along rural paths, passing through rice fields and villages in the countryside.
Afterward, we’ll visit several pre-Angkorian temples, including Preah Ko, Bakong, and Lolei. In the afternoon, we’ll cycle to Tonle Sap Lake, where we’ll enjoy lunch together with a view of the water. Afterward, we’ll make our way back to the city to conclude our trip.
